Call-Out for WG2E and RG2E “Genre Experts”

TGIF, WG2E-Land!

I’ve got a new idea to add even more fabulous-ness to both The WG2E and our sister site, The RG2E

Drum rolls here…maybe to a nice Victor Cruz touchdown salsa rhythm…

I’m doing a Call-Out today for WG2E and RG2E “Genre Experts”!!!

We’ve got fabulous experts on The WG2E about all-things-epublishing, including, but not limited to, formatting, editing, cover design, promotion and marketing, writing life, business and tax tips, intellectual property rights, international publishing, individual platform analysis (Amazon KDP, Apple, Smashwords, Kobo, Sony, Nook, etc.), social media and Goodreads too.

What we don’t have is genre-specific scoop.

What I’m envisioning is that once per month, on each site, one of you will write a post about the genre you write. The WG2E post would of course be writer/self-publishing centered, and The RG2E post would be reader-focused.

Here are example topics for each one…

The WG2E Genre Experts could talk about:

What’s hot in their genre

What seems to be selling well and what isn’t

Mash-ups with other genres

New twists on the genre

Price range of books in that genre compared to other genres

Self-Published Authors to check-out in that particular genre

What are your readers liking and not liking about the genre

Where do readers in that genre hang

The RG2E Genre Experts Could Talk About:

What kinds of elements a reader can find in the genre featured

The books you’ve self-published in that genre

Why you write that genre

Ask readers what they’d like to see new in that genre

What genres would they like to see blended in with the one featured

Where do they find books in that genre

Are you getting the hang of where I’d like to go with these posts?

What do you think?

Are you thinking, like me, that there’s a ton of info we could share about all of the genres we’re writing in – both from a writer-focused perspective and a reader-focused angle too?

If so, let us know below which genres you’d like to write posts for and for which site – hopefully both sites, and I’ll get you on the schedule! Also, let us know what kinds of scoop you’d like to share with us in your guest post(s).

One more thing: even if you don’t want to write a post for either site, share with us which genres you’re writing in/self-publishing now and which ones you’ll be venturing into soon…
